About "Kathryn the Grape" Kathryn Cloward

Kathryn Cloward is a purposeful storyteller who’s earned national praise for her award-winning Kathryn the Grape® Affirmation Series of books and music. Through her illustrated likeness of Kathryn the Grape, she provides a treasure box filled with positive and affirming tools of love for children and adults to use together. An award-winning author, songwriter and entrepreneur, Kathryn is passionate about creating and sharing heart-centered mindful media with positive and empowering messages for people of all ages to enjoy. She is on a mission to ripple love, compassion, and unity throughout the world.

As a little girl, Kathryn loved writing songs and singing them to her dolls. She always dreamed of one day growing up and sharing her original songs with others. Now that is exactly what she does through Kathryn the Grape and her Kathryn Cloward music (www.KathrynCloward.com) — a purposeful path Kathryn paved for herself through decades of professional resilience and courageous personal transformation. With over 22 years of being a risk-taking and altruistic serial entrepreneur, it was a natural choice for Kathryn to streamline the production and publication of all of her media independently through her company, Kandon Unlimited, Inc.

Kathryn has consistently channeled her energy into helping others thrive. In recent years, she’s poured her loving energy into helping raise awareness for local and national charitable causes notably by writing and producing impact songs that often feature youth performers. “We Are Champions,” supporting children braving cancer and their families, debuted at Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary’s 2017 Celebration of Champions. “My Name is Divine,” supporting refugee youth and their families, debuted at Exiled Voices Refugee Art Experience in 2017. “Heroes,” supporting children and adults with MPS, ML, and related rare diseases without cures, debuted at the National MPS Society’s International MPS Symposium in 2018. This special song was on the GRAMMY Awards® ballot for consideration in two categories..

Kathryn has been recognized throughout her career for inspirational and purposeful endeavors including being honored in 2010 with San Diego Metro’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and Speak for Success’ Women Changing the World Inspirational Woman Award, and in 2018 she received the Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Leadership Award.

When she is not writing, performing, or speaking at events, Kathryn enjoys going for long walks, spending time with her family and friends, and exploring with her son, Landon.
